Professional Sales Letter Copywriting Services
How do you sell your products to your customer? You definitely cannot be online most of the time to interact directly with them. That’s where your sales copy comes into the picture. Your sales copy is your ‘salesman in words’ and it better be good for just two clicks separate your customer from your competitor. Only one thing can persuade him/her to stay on your website. That’s the sales copy.
An effective sales copy will deliver the message to your target audience with the help of words so powerful; they can change their mindset in minutes. It can change leads to sales. I am sure you receive several sales letters in your email inbox everyday. I too receive thousands of sales letters each week but most of them end up in the waste basket or the recycle bin of my computer. But I make sure that I go through each one of those letters to scrutinize them minutely. Did the sales letter serve its purpose? No, for it wouldn’t end up in trash. Is yes, then why? If no, then why not? A lot of my questions are answered after reading the first couple of lines itself.
My first step in writing the sales copy is understanding my target audience. Is it a niche market that I am targeting here? Is it a generalized audience that I am writing to? What is the competition level? A complete understanding of these facts is extremely important for the sales copy to be effective. Once this is done, I create a powerful heading. Most people underestimate the power of a heading in a sales letter but I do not. If I would have named this article “3 steps to writing a killer sales copy“, I am sure most of you would have read it in the hope of learning how to write the copy yourself without hiring me. You see, the right heading can grab the attention of the visitor straight away. It can prompt him to read the rest of the copy.
Now the challenge begins. Once the reader starts to read the copy, the features and benefits of your website or business must be delivered in a short, sweet but powerful ensemble of words. Rather than harping on the features of the products, focus on the benefits that the customer derives from the product. ‘Show not tell’, is the golden rule of sales. I may create a story, a testimonial or even add a guarantee. But one thing is for sure. I can make your product sell with words.
